What you’ll be doing:
- Building, maintaining, servicing, and testing production-level assemblies to ensure reliability and safety.
- Supporting prototype and pre-production builds, helping develop processes before full-scale production.
- Manufacturing one-off prototype wiring assemblies (LV and HV), sensors, test rigs, and bespoke electrical assemblies.
- Carrying out on-vehicle wiring, diagnostics, and remedial electrical work using specialist test equipment.
- Planning workload effectively with your manager to deliver projects on time, within cost and quality targets.
- Maintaining accurate build records and supporting test/demo events.
- Researching and investigating new technologies and processes to improve engineering capabilities.
- Ensuring safety, compliance, and workplace organisation standards are always met.
What we’re looking for:
- Advanced training in a relevant trade or discipline (City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ-3 or equivalent).
- Experience as an Engineering or Build Technician in OEM, Tier 1 supplier, engineering consultancy, or motorsport.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics and fault finding across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Confident in interpreting engineering drawings, documents, and work instructions.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, with basic fabrication and machining skills.
- Strong communicator, adaptable, customer-focused, and confident in your expertise.
