We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our Manufacturing team. Working closely with the Fabrication Supervisor and Principal Fabricators, you will produce high-quality parts and assemblies to tight specifications in fast-paced, time-constrained environments. Using your expertise in fabrication, you will interpret engineering drawings, follow work instructions, and ensure all parts meet strict quality and delivery expectations. This is a hands-on role where precision, problem-solving, and continuous improvement are key. MUST HAVE:Mechanical Engineering / Manufacture Experience Key Responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings to set fabrication processes and standards. Define manufacturing approaches, fixtures, tooling, and time estimates. Operate and set departmental equipment and tooling to meet required standards. Support machinery service and maintenance schedules. Assist in defining inspection processes and ensuring quality standards are achieved. Proactively identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure health and safety policies are followed and enhanced at all times. Maintain accurate records of work, including process adherence checks. Support colleagues by covering key responsibilities during absences. Keep the fabrication area clean, safe, and well presented. Demonstrate respect for cross-functional teams and contribute to wider business goals. Develop supervisory skills to support future career progression. Qualifications & Experience Practical fabrication training (C&G or equivalent recognised qualification). 2 years automotive fabrication experience in MIG, TIG, and spot welding (ferrous & non-ferrous materials). Proven ability to interpret engineering designs, drawings, and 3D models. Knowledge of materials and fabrication methods. Experience with inspection and metrology processes. Skills & Attributes Skilled in sheet metal fabrication techniques. Strong problem-solving ability with sound judgement. High levels of self-confidence, drive, and motivation. Ability to both take direction and provide guidance to junior team members. Team-oriented with excellent attention to detail. Willingness to learn new skills and take on challenges.
