Our client is a market leader specialising in EIS, Property, and Infrastructure investments, seeking a dedicated Business Development Manager to join their sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for an IFA sales professional to play a crucial role in driving capital-raising efforts within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company and its investment products.
  • Maintain knowledge of the wider marketplace including wealth management, financial advice, and alternative investments.
  • Raise capital by building and managing relationships with key intermediaries, primarily financial advisers and wealth planners.
  • Collaborate with the investment teams to effectively bring investment opportunities to market.
  • Promote the group and its investments through presentations and industry events.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to relevant intermediaries.
  • Organise and host events and seminars in collaboration with the Business Development Director.
  • Identify potential new business opportunities in the market.
  • Mentor Associate Business Development Managers and support their growth.
  • Follow agreed sales methodologies to build relationships and professionally position solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role with a track record in client relationship management within a financial intermediary sales environment.
  • Experience in the sales of VCTs/EIS, Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, or Trust-based solutions is preferred.
  • Level 4 RDR qualified Financial Planner or equivalent; STEP qualifications and/or SOLLA accreditation is desirable.
  • Demonstrates credibility and impact with a confident communication style.
  • Strong networking abilities and the capacity to maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Understanding of financial products’ structuring and tax advantages.
  • Excellent judgment, adaptability, and influencing skills.
  • A driven and competitive mindset with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
