Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a small children’s residential service in Stafford, supporting up to two young people. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up, or an existing Registered Manager looking for a smaller, more focused setting. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, child-centred care in line with Ofsted regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register with Ofsted and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements
- Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the home
- Deliver high-quality, therapeutic care and positive outcomes for young people
- Develop, support and supervise staff to maintain a strong team culture
- Manage care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
- Monitor performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Liaise with external professionals, families and local authorities
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential setting (essential)
- Previous management or supervisory experience (Deputy Manager stepping up considered)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (preferred, or willingness to work towards)
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, children’s legislation and Ofsted frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
