The Safety Medic at RMI Global Solutions (RMI) combines the roles of field Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) advisor and medic. This position supports the client in managing QHSE aspects of projects, provides urgent and emergency medical care, and promotes consistent safety awareness among crews through training, monitoring, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver urgent and emergency medical care and maintain accurate electronic health records.
  • Ensure readiness of medical facilities, equipment, and supplies; perform routine maintenance checks.
  • Manage medical emergencies, stabilise patients, and coordinate evacuations in line with MERP and RHCP guidelines.
  • Conduct health screenings, drug and alcohol testing, and workforce medical inductions.
  • Promote health and hygiene programs and provide first-aid training and emergency drills.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for client EHS and QHSE matters; advise on compliance and industry standards.
  • Monitor QHSE performance, support investigations, and assist with training and safety programmes.
  • Maintain professional certifications and comply with all client and statutory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years as a licensed paramedic, nurse, advanced practitioner, or physiotherapist.
  • Experience in remote healthcare; oil & gas or industrial operations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
  • English fluency and ability to pass Fit-to-Work assessment.

Certifications:

  • Valid medical license and advanced life support certifications (ALS, ACLS, BLS, PHTLS).
  • At least one recognised HSE certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.).
  • Offshore safety training (BOSIET, HUET) and other project-specific certifications as required.
