We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance and functionality of outdoor spaces across various sites, specifically at Supported Living Units across Essex/Suffolk/North London.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for gardening and outdoor maintenance to develop their skills within a professional environment. Prior experience is advantageous, but training will be provided where necessary.

Duties

  • Routine tasks include grass cutting, strimming, litter collection, leaf clearance, hedge and shrub pruning.
  • Operate a variety of power tools and hand tools such as trimmers, hedge cutters safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in ground maintenance or gardening is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to power tools is beneficial.
  • Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • A full UK valid driver’s licence.
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: £100.00-£130.00 per day

Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week

Benefits: Company car

Willingness to travel: 25% (preferred)
