What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as the internal expert on UK payroll legislation
- Monitor HMRC updates, regulatory changes, and case law
- Interpret legislation and translate it into technical and operational requirements
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to implement changes in software
- Advise internal teams on payroll compliance and best practice
- Create clear documentation on new and updated payroll regulations
- Deliver training and guidance to internal teams and customers
- Act as the go‑to authority for payroll legislation queries
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years’ experience in UK payroll
- Deep knowledge of PAYE, RTI, pensions, tax rules, and HMRC processes
- Proven experience interpreting payroll legislation and regulatory guidance

- Background in payroll bureaus, payroll software, HMRC, or accountancy firms
- Strong communication and documentation skills
