A major payroll and HR technology provider is hiring a Product Manager with strong payroll experience to help build the future of its payroll platform.

Salary: £80k

Based: Manchester (Remote first with monthly office visits - travel/stay is expensed)

Following the acquisition of an innovative payroll product from a specialist software company, the business is now investing heavily in a brand-new payroll platform that will replace its legacy system and power the next phase of growth. This is a rare opportunity to join a newly formed product team working on a greenfield platform focused on innovation, new capabilities, and helping the business win new customers while upgrading existing ones.

How the team works

Product operates in cross-functional pods made up of a Product Manager, Product Owner and Engineers, with Design supporting across teams. The focus is on building a modern, scalable payroll product without the burden of legacy development.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the 12–18 month roadmap for the payroll platform
  • Defining feature priorities and identifying product gaps
  • Working closely with engineering, payroll experts and leadership
  • Supporting customer migration from legacy payroll systems
  • Ensuring UK payroll legislative compliance
  • Using product metrics and customer insight to guide decisions
  • Enabling sales teams to win new customers and upgrade existing ones
