Senior Quantity Surveyor (Electrical Bias) Location:Northern Ireland (Hybrid Working Ad-Hoc UK/Europe Site Visits) Sector:Electrical Infrastructure, Power Distribution & Industrial Employment Type:Full-Time, Permanent About the Role Our clienta rapidly growing specialist electrical contractor delivering complex schemes across the UK, Ireland, and Europeis seeking a hands-onSenior Quantity Surveyor (Electrical Bias). This dual-function role balancesfront-end estimatingwithend-to-end post-contract commercial management, directly shaping project profitability and margin control. Key Responsibilities Live Commercial Delivery:Take full responsibility for live project financesmanaging monthly applications for payment, variation accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts while working closely with internal delivery managers and client commercial teams. Pre-Construction & Estimating:Flex seamlessly between front-end pricing and post-contract managementassisting with tender submissions, detailed cost estimating, and initial budget setup for specialist electrical scopes. Cost Control & CVRs:Conduct regular Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reviews, track project performance against target budgets, produce cost-to-complete forecasts, and lead financial performance meetings with project managers to proactively address potential overspends. Supply Chain Management:Manage electrical subcontractor and supplier procurementissuing packages, conducting site measures, drafting subcontracts, and managing subcontractor variation accounts alongside the site delivery teams. Commercial Systems & Reporting:Maintain up-to-date financial data in company systems to ensure accurate internal KPI reporting, cash flow visibility, and performance tracking. Team Guidance:Oversee day-to-day commercial administration and assist in guiding junior commercial team members. Requirements Experience:Strong background as a Quantity Surveyor working directly for a specialist electrical or power contractor. Sector Background:Strong electrical biasexperience across sectors such as power distribution, HV/MV infrastructure, industrial, renewables, or complex infrastructure schemes. Skillset:Comprehensive commercial expertise spanning the full lifecycle, from front-end pricing and budget setup to CVRs, cost forecasting, and final accounts. Location & Travel:Based out of our Northern Ireland regional HQ, with flexibility to undertake occasional, ad-hoc travel to client meetings or project sites across the UK and Europe.
