  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery room.

  • Supervise and support nursery staff, including assigning tasks and responsibilities.

  • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education.

Childcare and Education:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities.

  • Monitor and assess each child’s development and progress, maintaining detailed records.

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.

  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including proper hygiene and sanitation procedures.

  • Conduct regular safety checks of equipment and the nursery environment.

  • Administer first aid and medication as required, maintaining accurate records.

  • Implement and adhere to safeguarding policies to protect children from harm.

Communication:

  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child’s progress.

  • Address any concerns or issues raised by parents promptly and professionally.

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members and external agencies when necessary.

  • Organise and participate in parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and events.

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.

  • Current Paediatric First Aid certification.

  • Safeguarding and child protection training.

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a nursery or early childhood setting.

  • Proven leadership experience, preferably in a similar role.

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff.

  • Proficiency in developing and implementing age-appropriate educational programs.

  • Passionate about early childhood education and child development.

  • Patient, caring, and attentive to the needs of children.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.
