Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery room.

Supervise and support nursery staff, including assigning tasks and responsibilities.

Conduct regular team meetings to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education.
Childcare and Education:
-
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
-
Monitor and assess each child’s development and progress, maintaining detailed records.
-
Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
-
Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Health and Safety:
-
Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including proper hygiene and sanitation procedures.

Conduct regular safety checks of equipment and the nursery environment.

Administer first aid and medication as required, maintaining accurate records.
-
Implement and adhere to safeguarding policies to protect children from harm.
Communication:
-
Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child’s progress.

Address any concerns or issues raised by parents promptly and professionally.

Work collaboratively with other staff members and external agencies when necessary.

Organise and participate in parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and events.
-
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.

Current Paediatric First Aid certification.

Safeguarding and child protection training.
-
At least 2 years of experience working in a nursery or early childhood setting.

Proven leadership experience, preferably in a similar role.

Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff.

Proficiency in developing and implementing age-appropriate educational programs.
-
Passionate about early childhood education and child development.
-
Patient, caring, and attentive to the needs of children.
-
Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.
