RME Consultants is delighted to be working with this reputable client based in Bletchley, who is looking for a forward-thinking individual to join their team as a Sales Manager (FMCG). Role: Sales Manager (FMCG) Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum plus bonus Contract: Full time, Permanent Location: Bletchley, Milton Keynes Main Duties for the Sales Manager (FMCG): * Commercial Reporting & Analysis: Develop and maintain weekly and monthly sales performance reports across all customer channels, Track volume, revenue, margin, and promotional spend vs. budget, Prepare customer and product profitability analysis and make margin improvement recommendations. * Forecasting & Demand Planning: Collaborate with supply chain and production planning to ensure accurate rolling sales forecasts, Support demand planning with sales trend analysis and input from customer activity plans, Highlight variances between forecast and actual sales performance * Price & Margin Management: Monitor pricing, cost movements, and customer terms to protect and grow margin, Support the preparation and negotiation of annual customer pricing and rebate terms. * Ensure all pricing is signed off, recorded, and aligned with finance, Sales Support & Commercial Projects: Provide data and insight to support customer reviews and new business tenders, Assist in category management, range analysis, and NPD business case development, Drive improvements in sales reporting tools and dashboards. * Governance & Control: Maintain audit-ready records of all pricing agreements and commercial terms, Work closely with finance on sales accruals, invoice reconciliation, and customer claims, Lead process improvements to enhance data accuracy and reporting speed. Key Measures of Success for the Sales Manager (FMCG): * Improved gross margin and customer profitability. * Forecast accuracy within target tolerances. * Timely and accurate reporting of commercial KPIs. * Reduced customer claim disputes through robust data controls. Key Interfaces for the Sales Manager: * Retail and wholesale customers * Supply Chain and Planning * CEO * Production Teams Experience Required for the Sales Manager: * 5+ years in a commercial analyst, sales finance, or sales controller role, ideally in food manufacturing or FMCG. * Strong analytical and Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or similar tools an advantage. * Experience in margin tracking, forecasting, and pricing governance. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Proactive, commercially astute, and confident presenting data to stakeholders.
