Responsibilities:
- Collect parcels from Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) and deliver to National Distribution Centres (NDCs).
- Complete trunking runs between distribution centres.
- Transport mainly palletised and caged loads.
- Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time.
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Follow road safety regulations, drivers' hours rules and company procedures.
- Maintain a professional attitude and provide a reliable service.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' Class 2 driving experience.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to safe and efficient driving.
- A valid UK Class 2 licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.
- Comfort with RDC-to-NDC trunking, predominantly involving caged and palletised loads, with minimal handball.
- A positive attitude, good timekeeping, and a professional approach.
