The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Multi Drop Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of food products to customer premises throughout London and the surrounding areas. You will operate 7.2T and 26T HGV vehicles, complete multiple delivery drops during each shift and provide a professional level of customer service at every delivery. The role requires flexibility to complete:
- One planned night out per week on a rotating schedule
- One London collection from Sunday to Monday night on the same rotating schedule
- Additional holiday and sickness cover when required
Manual Handling and Multi Drop Deliveries
This is a physically demanding, hands-on multi-drop driving role. Drivers will be responsible for loading, unloading and delivering food stock to customer premises. The position involves regular manual handling and handballing, including carrying goods up and down stairs. Applicants must therefore have a good level of physical fitness and be comfortable with regular heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely driving and operating HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicles
- Completing multi-drop food deliveries across London and surrounding areas
- Delivering goods safely, efficiently and on schedule
- Loading and unloading food products
- Handballing stock into customer premises, including deliveries involving stairs
- Providing professional customer service at every delivery
- Communicating with customers regarding deliveries, schedules and delays
- Completing daily vehicle walk-around and safety checks

- Working independently while managing a busy multi-drop delivery schedule
HGV Class 2 Driver Requirements
To be considered for this HGV Class 2 Multi Drop Driver position, you will need:
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 / Category C driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 2 multi-drop delivery experience
- Experience with food deliveries or similar delivery work is advantageous
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling
- Minimum age of 25 due to fleet insurance requirements
- Clean driving licence preferred
- Maximum 3 penalty points accepted
- Good knowledge of London and surrounding areas is advantageous
- Professional attitude and good customer service skills
