This is a Temp to Perm opportunity , offering regular Monday-to-Friday work with the opportunity to move into a permanent position for the right candidate. The role would suit an experienced Class 1 Driver, HGV Driver or Shunter who is confident manoeuvring and positioning trailers within a busy distribution centre yard. Pay Rates Day rate: £18.63 per hour Night rate: £21.09 per hour for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00 Overtime: £25.42 per hour after 42 hours PAYE rates include Holiday Pay Shift Details Monday to Friday 12-hour shifts Start times of 17:00 or 18:00 Regular ongoing work Temp to Perm opportunity Duties As a Class 1 Shunter, your duties will include: Shunting trailers around the NDC site Moving and positioning trailers safely within the yard Coupling and uncoupling trailers Carrying out vehicle and trailer safety checks Working safely in a busy distribution environment Following site procedures and health & safety requirements Liaising with the warehouse and transport teams where required Requirements Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence Previous Class 1 shunting experience is essential Experience working within a busy depot, distribution centre or NDC environment Good knowledge of yard safety and trailer movements Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious Comfortable working 12-hour shifts Good communication skills Why Apply?
