The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting for an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer on behalf of Nisha Enterprises. Nisha Enterprises are one of the UK's major manufacturers of Corn/Maize & Potato Snacks, Confectionery, Sweets and Ethnic snack ranges. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical & Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team at our snack and confectionery manufacturing facility in Livingston.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, fault finding, and repairing a wide range of production machinery to ensure smooth and efficient factory operations. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability of manufacturing equipment
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new machinery when required
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical & Mechanical Engineer within a manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills on industrial machinery
- Relevant electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
