We are recruiting for a Portfolio Manager to join one of our key clients within the Global Occupier team. You will be responsible for delivering portfolio management services as described in the statement of work summary for the specific account within the assigned geography.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring transactions are managed at the highest standard and the portfolio management team is effectively managing the day-to-day transaction requirements of a portfolio of properties on behalf of the client within the assigned geography.
Responsibilities will include people management, client relationship management, and working closely with the portfolio strategy team to develop and implement transaction strategy for all asset types within the portfolio. Additionally, you will work closely with account leadership to ensure TM best practices are rolled out on the account and support the necessary training of a multi-regional team.
Within day-to-day responsibilities, you will also manage transactions (broker selection, transaction oversight and reporting, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, development and presentation of business cases, and closeout.
Key Responsibilities β Transaction Management
- Assist with the implementation of portfolio plans that align with the clientβs real estate goals and objectives
- Collaborate with C&W and non-C&W brokerage professionals to ensure effective negotiations of business terms for a wide variety of transactions, including lease, sale, sublease, and purchase
- Manage the flow of key documentation and client communications
- Review and interpret financial analysis
- Oversee revenue tracking of all transactions
- Maintain a database of transaction activity
- Ensure accuracy of all transaction reports
- Present transaction activity to the client
- Lead and/or facilitate client meetings
- Provide suggestions for process and technical improvements relating to the transaction process
- Assist with the onboarding of new team members
Process Management
- Assist with the development of standard forms and procedures
- Implement standardized processes/playbooks that create maximum efficiencies and add value
- Assist in measuring transactional performance
- Ensure that all client and broker engagement documentation is executed
Transaction Management
- Coordinate field broker selection process
- Assist with determining client needs and communicate project parameters
- Coordinate negotiations and management of transactions
- Coordinate legal review of all client leased/owned documents
- Ensure accuracy of financial data and reporting
- Coordinate client site visits/market tours
- Ensure all State real estate standards are met
Strategic Planning
- Assist in the development of strategic real estate plans
- Work with the portfolio strategy team to identify occupancy cost opportunities
- Ensure implementation of agreed-upon strategy
- Produce and/or support business case development
- Execute strategies by developing action plans
Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years of transaction management experience, preferably with finance sector experience
- People management experience
- Global TM experience
- Demonstrable technical competence in property management
- Basic IT skills (word-processing and spreadsheets)
- General practice background for or within either a corporate, public sector, or private practice
- Degree-level estate management qualification or equivalent desired
- Membership of RICS
