Responsibilities
- You will work as part of a project-focused delivery team to produce infrastructure aligned with RM’s reference architectures and design patterns using Infrastructure as Code.
- You will be a key collaborator within a project-focused delivery team alongside architects and application developers, working with the wider Infrastructure Engineering team to ensure a united and cohesive approach across all projects.
- Your insights and expertise will be instrumental in setting an extremely high standard of infrastructure coding, and your keen eye for detail and diagnostic skills will be invaluable.
- You will build on the combined skills and strengths of the Infrastructure Engineering team through mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop infrastructure and application deployment pipelines.
- Deploy new and changed infrastructure and applications.
- Support project delivery through timely delivery of quality infrastructure and pipelines.
- Refine and improve existing deployment processes to support continuous improvement of delivery.
- Produce technical documentation to a high standard.
- Provide 4th line escalation for infrastructure issues including on call (on a rota basis).
- Mentorship within the Infrastructure Engineering team.
Experience
- Great knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of Security, IAM, Networking, and Database concepts.
- Extensive experience of the following products: Gitlab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Docker, Terraform, Bash, Packer, Ansible.
- Familiarity with standard project lifecycle processes.
- Time management skills: ability to understand business impact and prioritise tasks accordingly.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, a highly personable, engaging approach and a strong alignment to RM's core values: Customer success, high standards, respect for others, innovation, openness and enjoyment at work.
- Excellent collaboration skills.
- Awareness of security best practice, monitoring, and compliance.
- Strong documentation skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
