RM Recruit is delighted to be supporting a charitable organisation in the appointment of an Interim Finance Manager for an initial six-month period.
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for an experienced finance professional who can quickly take ownership of a busy finance function.
Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information and providing advice and support to budget holders and senior stakeholders.
Main duties include
- Producing monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, recharges, depreciation and fund analysis.
- Preparing and maintaining cashflow forecasts and supporting effective financial planning.
- Leading the annual budgeting process, working with budget holders to collate and monitor budgets.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns, including charity VAT considerations.
- Managing Gift Aid provisions and claims.
- Completing balance sheet, intercompany and other key reconciliations.
- Overseeing payroll liaison and providing the required information to the payroll provider.
- Providing financial guidance and support to budget holders and non-finance colleagues.
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis and support to the COO and wider organisation.
We are looking for a confident, hands-on finance professional who can hit the ground running and operate comfortably in a small, multifaceted finance function.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess proven experience producing management accounts, budgets and cashflow forecasts.
Experience with VAT returns, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit environment is preferred with good knowledge of charity accounting and Charities SORP.
This role is working either two or three days per week with some office presence included.
Our client is offering a 6-month interim assignment, with potential for temp-to-perm with flexible 2β3 day per week working pattern.
