RM Recruit is working in partnership with our fantastic Lambeth based housing client, who are looking to appoint an experienced Repair Technician on a temporary basis for an initial three-month period, with a strong likelihood of extension. This is a hands-on role working across a number of residential housing estates in South London, with the majority of your work based around Lambeth. The successful candidate will provide a professional, responsive and customer-focused repairs service, carrying out a range of minor repairs and void works across the client's housing stock. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance works within occupied and void properties, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Main duties include: * Carrying out a range of minor repairs and maintenance works. * Working across occupied and void residential properties. * Diagnosing faults and identifying appropriate repair solutions. * Completing repairs right first time wherever possible. * Undertaking general property inspections and identifying required works. * Completing void property works to the required standard and timescales. * Working across multiple trades where you have the relevant skills and experience. * Liaising professionally with residents, colleagues and other trades. * Maintaining accurate records of completed works. * Ensuring all works comply with relevant Health & Safety requirements. * Working towards agreed repair targets, timescales and customer satisfaction standards. We are looking for an experienced Repair Technician / Multi-Skilled Operative who can hit the ground running. Previous experience within social housing, housing repairs or property maintenance is highly desirable but not essential. You will have a multi-skilled background covering areas such as plumbing, carpentry, plastering and general repairs, or significant experience in a relevant core trade. You will be required to provide your own hand tools and battery-powered tools which will be securely stored on site overnight and you will work across three housing estates, with the majority of your time based around the Kennington area.
