RM Recruit are supporting a Yorkshire based Multi Academy Trust in the recruitment of an Interim Chief Finance Officer for their team. Along with the Chief Executive Officer and the COO, this post will form the Trust's Executive Team whose leadership delivers the Trust's strategic objectives.
The Chief Finance Officer will have strategic responsibility for all aspects of Trust finance, asset management, contract management and procurement. As well as day to day financial stewardship, there will be particular focus on a number of projects to include:
- A review of the end to end process to implement improvements
- Continue with the centralisation of finance processes to the central finance team
- Evaluation of the current finance structure and the likely recruitment of 2 new team members
- Support in the recruitment of the eventual permanent CFO
The Trust is seeking an experienced Finance Director/CFO who can demonstrate proven leadership skills in MAT or Education settings. They require a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CIPFA) who can work onsite 2 days per week (occasionally more when needed) and who can commence by late August 2025. We can accommodate open discussion on salary/day rate expectations and also part time working arrangements.
