Job Description

RM Recruit are working with a well-established multi-site care provider who are seeking a high-calibre Head of Finance on a permanent basis.

Managing a dedicated team of six, you will oversee all day-to-day financial operations and act as a key strategic partner to the Managing Director.

Main duties include

  • Manage, mentor, and supervise a team of six
  • Provide direct, comprehensive financial management support to the Managing Director.
  • Oversee the daily operations and workflows of the internal finance team.
  • Travel to various sites within the Midlands as required.
  • Prepare, develop, and present timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Implement, monitor, and improve internal financial controls, policies, and processes.
  • Supervise the end-to-end sales ledger, purchase ledger, and invoicing processes.
  • Monitor daily cash flow, manage banking relationships, and produce cash flow forecasts.
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process and produce regular financial forecasts.
  • Oversee the processing of group payroll, pension contributions, and related compliance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and ensure statutory compliance.
  • Oversee VAT returns, tax submissions, and all relevant HMRC compliance.

As the ideal candidate you will be fully ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent professional accounting qualification and possess substantial post-qualification experience within industry, with essential experience managing a team.

It would be advantageous if you possess prior financial experience within the healthcare, care home, or residential care sector.

If you possess good technical and system skills such as Sage, Xero and are proficient using excel to a good standard, this presents a very good opportunity to stamp your mark in a forward thinking organisation.

The ideal candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and own a vehicle to facilitate travel between regional sites.

This position is subject to a standard background check (DBS) and compliance.
