RM Recruit is proud to be working in partnership with a reputable not for profit organisation based in Tamworth in their search for a dedicated Finance Manager. This is a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement with two days on-site and three days working remotely.

This pivotal role will see the Finance Manager take ownership of the accurate and timely execution and reporting of all financial activities across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce detailed monthly management accounts, budget reports, and forecast monitoring documents for designated schools, ensuring precision and alignment with financial targets.
  • Lead or support comprehensive month-end and year-end processes, including the reconciliation and clearing of purchase orders, managing prepayments and accruals, income tracking, and calculating monthly outturns.
  • Chair strategic monthly meetings with key stakeholders to review budget performance, forecasting, and financial planning, promoting informed and collaborative decision-making.
  • Prepare and develop annual budgets and forecasts, delivering valuable financial insights to support long-term strategy and resource planning.
  • Perform thorough supplier evaluations and essential administrative checks to uphold compliance and improve operational efficiency.
  • Remain abreast of developments within the education sector, assessing their potential implications on financial and operational strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a junior team member, fostering growth and enhancing team capability.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA or CIMA qualified (or working towards qualification), with demonstrable experience in a similar finance role. Strong analytical ability, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy are essential. You will have a proven track record of producing monthly management accounts, leading teams, and cultivating effective working relationships. A proactive approach, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and confidence in working both independently and collaboratively are key to success in this role.
