RM Recruit is supporting a growing SME charity to recruit a Finance Director for their team. This is a standalone role that is responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely financial reports to enable effective management of the organisation’s strategic and operational changes and resources.
With steady income streams locked in for the next 5 years, via a diverse range of grant funding, this arts-focused Not for Profit organisation is seeking an experienced director-level accountant who can help spearhead future growth and provide a reliable and consistent hands-on finance service for the wider team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of business plans, budgets and forecasts, including cash flow forecasting.
- Supporting the application process for grant funding and compliant administration of grant funding income.
- Delivering accurate and timely financial reports to enable effective management of strategic and operational plans and resources.
- Effective financial management, information and controls.
- Regulatory compliance, including but not limited to Companies House, HMRC (PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax), The Charity Commission etc.
- Preparation of statutory, regulatory and funder financial reporting.
- Ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process, including cash flow forecasting and a wide range of business partnering to operational staff.
- Oversight of outsourced purchase ledger, payroll and payment processing services.
This is a fully remote role working 3 days per week. However, meetings requiring attendance in either Birmingham or London will take place every 6 weeks.
Please note, our client is seeking candidates who have worked in Not for Profit, Charity or Community Interest Companies. If you do not hold experience in these sector settings, we will unfortunately be unable to consider your application. Experience of National Lottery Heritage Funding would be highly advantageous.
