RM Recruit are working with a brilliant not-for-profit client currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic finance team on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis. This role involves remote working with an office presence of once per month at their Midlands based office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Business Partner in delivering accurate financial analysis and reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and budget monitoring reports
  • Assist the Finance Business Partner with challenging and supporting budget holders as necessary
  • Provide financial insight and support to operational teams to drive performance
  • Contribute to forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities
  • Help maintain robust financial controls and compliance with internal policies
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors on relevant audit work
  • Assist in preparation of reports to the Executive Team and the Group Board
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective delivery of financial support

About You:

  • Part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to work independently in a remote setting
  • Previous experience in a finance or management accounting role is desirable
