RM Recruit are working in partnership with a Sutton Coldfield based Not for Profit Organisation to recruit a Finance Manager (Part Time) for their team. Reporting directly to the CEO of this small charity, this pivotal role within the organisation is responsible for overseeing the charity’s financial operations, risk management, and reporting. The postholder will ensure robust financial controls and statutory compliance are in place and align with strategic goals

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage the Finance function and supervise the Assistant Accountant
  • Responsible for generating accurate and timely financial statements
  • Manage income, cash flow, and investments, producing regular reports to guide the organisations financial commitments.
  • Manage all bank accounts and advise the Chief Executive and Trustees on investment strategies to maximise returns on surplus funds
  • Regular liaison with banks, auditors, the Charity Commission and HMRC
  • Oversee financial systems and procedures to maintain the integrity of accounting data and ensure the secure management of assets
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and cash flow projections in collaboration with Trustees and staff
  • Compile annual accounts for audit and draft statutory reports.
  • Manage payroll, pensions, and death-in-service arrangements
  • Support the CEO by developing financial models and conducting feasibility and risk assessments to inform new initiatives and business planning

This role will be 3 days per week with presence required onsite in Sutton Coldfield. The successful candidate will be professionally qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA), possess experience of preparing statutory accounts (preferably charity accounts) and have understanding and working with SORP for charities.
