Responsibilities
- As a Connectivity Proposal Specialist, you will become the recognised subject matter expert for RM’s Broadband, Telephony and Safeguarding portfolio, and will support the Go to Market division by:
- Developing proposals for prospective customers through bids. As part of our established Bid Management team, you will work collaboratively on bids by modelling services and writing compliant and high-quality responses. This may also involve supporting pre-bid activity such as responding to market engagement questionnaires.
- Writing proposals for prospective customers. You will be required to help Sales colleagues identify customers which are eligible for direct award, and developing proposals to submit to them.
- Developing renewals and proposals for existing customers. You will support Sales to identify which customers to grow by analysing data and turning that into insights, advising on opportunities to grow through existing customers by expanding our offering through proposals.
You will be trained to become the recognised subject matter expert for RM’s broadband, telephony, and safeguarding portfolio, supporting our Sales teams by analysing data and turning that into insights, and gaining and sharing market knowledge from our connectivity partners. Your knowledge will be built through strong interaction with the RM Broadband team as well as maintaining a close relationship with RM Telecommunication partners. You will be seen by Sales as the subject matter expert on all things Broadband, Telephony and Safeguarding and be responsible for monitoring the progress of all these opportunities which in turn you’ll be expected to report on not only internally but also to our Broadband partners.
To be successful in this role you will be supported to develop and maintain a knowledge of the schools' broadband market including trends across technology and education, and how RM’s products and services connect to these to help educators and enrich the lives of learners.
Experience
- You will have experience of working within a customer-focused environment, understanding their needs and requirements.
- Understanding products and solutions, and mapping these to customer needs.
- Bid/proposal writing.

You will have:

- Strong planning and organising skills, which you’ll use to effectively manage pipeline, your work, and opportunities.
- Financial literacy and excel skills, to build commercial models as part of proposals.
- Results orientation, with a passion for achievement against objectives, targets and KPIs.
- Flexible can-do attitude with a willingness and ability to adapt and learn within the role.
