Job Purpose: Forming a crucial part of the UK Commercial team you will take ownership of prospecting new tender and bidding opportunities. Working closely with Head of Global projects you will build best in market bid responses. You will take responsibility for managing and growing existing UK framework accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Bid pipeline: Focus on prospecting new tender and bid opportunities, using existing tools to ensure tender platform info is up to date. Build and update tender pipeline ensuring all relevant stakeholders are aware of upcoming opportunities and expiring contracts. Create initial bid responses to be reviewed by Head of Global projects. Occasionally attend relevant framework conferences to generate customer relationships and promote RM as a framework supplier. Actively form relationships with wider commercial team to ensure any relevant market leads or information is followed up in a timely manner.
- Account management: Take a lead on managing existing framework accounts. Work closely with procurement teams to grow RM presence on relevant frameworks. Build efficient, suitable propositions for customer needs including match back to relevant supplier offerings and internal IPR resources. Build accurate pipeline of framework orders and formulate strategies to grow accounts. Act as main point of contact for incoming customer queries.
- Wider UK support: Work with UK commercial teams to provide support on MAT procurement bids. Work closely with Customer Support and Procurement to ensure orders flow through internal system with maximum efficiency. Attend occasional trade shows throughout the UK. Carry out occasional customer visits to support customer relationships.
Experience Impact & Influence: Actively contribute to growth and success of UK Commercial team. Ensure successful bid and tender opportunities management. Involvement of bespoke pricing ensuring it’s correct and accurate for relevant customers. Grow the framework business.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of UK procurement process
