Job Location: Ideal candidate locations include Cambridge, Bedford and Huntingdon.

We are currently seeking a Site Engineer to cover Cambridge and surrounding region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring construction works are set out correctly, built according to design and specifications, and completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

The successful applicant will

  • Hold a relevant degree, HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Have prior experience as an Engineer within a comparable Groundworks/Civil Engineering business.
  • Have a full, UK driving licence.
  • Have experience in setting up, calibrating and troubleshooting 3D machine control systems, including model building for Leica MC1.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Setting out works on site using surveying equipment (GPS, total station, laser levels).
  • Interpreting and working from engineering drawings, specifications, and design information.
  • Supervising groundworks and civil engineering activities (including excavations, foundations, drainage, road & highways etc.).
  • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, plans and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Liaising with project managers, subcontractors, clients and design teams.
  • Conducting quality inspections and maintaining relevant records.
  • Managing and resolving technical issues on site.
