Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters for commercial and residential clients. Our client, a well-established legal practice in the West Country, is seeking a skilled Litigation Solicitor to join their team on a temporary basis.

Position Overview

The Litigation Solicitor will manage a varied caseload of mostly property-related disputes, including boundary issues, easements, rights of way, restrictive covenants, landlord and tenant matters, and possession claims. You will be providing expert advice and representation to both commercial and residential clients. The role is required to start in mid August 2025 to cover a recruitment gap for circa 3 - 6 months. On site working is essential although there may be scope for some remote working. Full or part time hours can be considered, though full time is the preference.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and progress a diverse caseload of property litigation matters.
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
  • Prepare cases for court hearings, mediation, and dispute resolution.
  • Liaise with clients, providing strategic advice and regular updates.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive with 2+ years of litigation experience.
  • Exceptional knowledge of civil procedure and property-related legal principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
  • Proficiency in using case management systems and IT software.
