Join a long established multi-office law firm in Somerset, on a Locum basis. Requirement is for a senior/experienced Commercial Property Solicitor/Lawyer to join the team to cover a recruitment gap.

Handling a Commercial Property caseload, whilst also carrying out team supervisory and management duties. Position is to start mid to end March 2026 on a 4 or 5 day per week basis. Initial 3 months in duration with scope for extension thereafter likely and this role requires some on-site time (could be as little as one day per week or two), with the rest remote and flexible.

Position Overview: Our client, an established multi-office high street practice, is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Locum Solicitor/Lawyer to join their team. Hybrid and flexible working feasible and good scope to take on management and team duties.

As a Commercial Property Locum Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of work including:

  • Buying and selling of commercial property and land
  • Landlord & tenant
  • Option agreements
  • Conditional contracts
  • Agricultural land
  • Development work
  • Leases and licences

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse commercial property caseload.
  • Work autonomously.
  • Provide excellent legal advice to clients.
  • Support the commercial property team effectively, including supervising juniors.
  • Handle matters from instruction to completion.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in commercial property law.
  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to work on a standalone basis.
  • Strong communication and client care skills.
