Join a long established and well regarded high street law firm handling commercial property work. Flexible part time hours. Recruitment gap cover with supervisory element. Secure an initial 3-month contract starting end Feb/early March 2026, with scope for extension.
Our client, an established multi-office high street practice, is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Locum Solicitor/Lawyer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexibly while handling a quality caseload, with supervisory element of a junior solicitor.
Position Overview
As a Commercial Property Locum Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of work including:
- Buying and selling of commercial property and land
- Landlord & tenant
- Option agreements
- Conditional contracts
- Agricultural land
- Development work
- Leases and licences
The role is to start ASAP for an initial 3 months, on a part time 3 or 4 day per week basis. The requirement is ideally on site in one of their offices in the Bristol area.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse commercial property caseload.
- Work autonomously.
- Provide excellent legal advice to clients.
- Support the commercial property team effectively, including supervising a junior solicitor in the team.
- Handle matters from instruction to completion.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in commercial property law.
- Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to work on a standalone basis.
- Strong communication and client care skills.
Benefits
- Flexible working hours, with some hybrid remote working possible.
- A competitive hourly rate on outside IR35 basis if required.
