About the Role
Shift patterns can vary:
Monday to Saturday or Tuesday to Sunday.
Hours: Weekdays and Weekends.
Pay: £12.86 for 3.5t drivers, £13.48 for successful applicants with 7.5t entitlement.
Overtime rate is applicable for any hours worked over the standard 37, which is time and a half.
Youll play a key part in maintaining the appearance of the New Forest by carrying out tasks such as:
Litter picking and fly-tip removal
Graffiti cleaning and bin maintenance
Snow clearance and other emergency response duties
Supporting void property clearances and reactive works
Youll often be a visible representative of the Council, so a friendly, professional approach is important.
What Were Looking For
Essential
UK manual driving licence (minimum 3.5T)
Good physical fitness
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong customer service skills
Willingness to complete training (Manual Handling, First Aid, LANTRA Road Safety)
Desirable
Experience in a similar role
Knowledge of machinery and safe working practices
Understanding of COSHH and waste regulations
This is an outdoor role in all weather, with full PPE and training provided.
