Our client, an expanding family run business now needs an additional Site Installation Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career.

You will be based near Totton but will be required to work around London on a regular basis.

Overnight stays are therefore required, so flexibility to be able to stay out during the week for one to two nights is essential.

A typical day at the workshop in Totton would include assembling electrical equipment, service pumps and steel frames as well as assembling valves and threaded steel fittings with couplings.

Servicing at a clients site would typically involve changing seals, repairing PE pipes, threading 2 steel pipe and replacing valves and possibly centrifugal pumps.

A week long installation would typically involve the following:-
Monday in workshop preparing equipment for installation and loading van.

Tuesday & Wednesday possibly Thursday on site:-
Installing PE pipework using generator and fusion welder, steel pipework with generator and threading machine.

Installation of rain guns and sprinklers, pumping systems and control equipment with the electrical cabling.

Much of this work is done from a cherry picker or scissor lift.

Experience in all these areas is preferred, however if you dont have experience across all these disciplines, training will be provided.

What is essential is someone with good practical skills, gained from one of the trades for example and a keen willingness to learn and develop and grow with the company.
