We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tanker Driver to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of liquid cargo using a tanker lorry.
This includes oil, dirty water as well sewerage waste, which can be quite pungent.
Previous experience of collecting waste (especially soiled/sewerage waste) is preferred as this type of work is definitely not for everyone.
- 0730 - 1730 Monday to Friday
- £16.50 per hour, overtime paid after 10 hours each day at £20.63
Operate tanker lorries to transport liquid cargo to various locations safely and efficiently.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities transported and delivery times, including taking before and after photos.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Once the Tanker is full, discharge at an authorised waste collection centre and return all paperwork to the depot.
If there are any times when you are not required on the road doing your regular work, you will be expected to help the rest of the team on site.
This includes helping installation engineers, delivering parts and porta loos and helping to organise/tidy the yard.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving, preferably with tanker vehicles.
Full PPE will be provided for the role including disposable gloves, overalls, hard hat, glasses/visor.
