We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Corporate Tax Manager to join our top ten practice firm in various locations across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax, with a 50/50 split in compliance and advisory work. This role will primarily focus on managing a mid-market SME portfolio, providing both compliance and advisory services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of tax compliance services
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of corporate tax, including tax planning, restructuring, and transactions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their main point of contact for all tax-related matters
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and communicate these changes to clients and team members
- Work closely with other departments within the firm, such as audit and advisory, to provide a comprehensive service to clients
- Identify opportunities for advisory work and assist in the development of new business proposals
- Mentor and train junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- CTA qualified with a minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate tax
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations
- Previous experience managing a team and delivering high-quality tax compliance services
- Proven experience in providing tax advice and solutions to clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Experience in a top ten practice firm is preferred but not essential
