The Opportunity
RLE Law is seeking to recruit an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its busy and well-established Private Client Department. The department continues to grow and is looking for an experienced practitioner who can help support an established client base and varied caseload, whilst contributing to the continued development of the department. We are keen to hear from candidates seeking permanent roles, fixed-term contracts, consultancy arrangements or locum opportunities. The structure of the appointment can be discussed with the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department, a full TEP member of STEP, and will have the opportunity to develop client relationships, assist in the continued growth of the department and play an important role within a supportive and collaborative team.
The Role
The role will include a varied private client caseload, including:
- Wills;
- Lasting Powers of Attorney;
- Probate and Estate Administration;
- Professional Executor and Full Estate Administration work;
- Trusts, where appropriate;
- Court of Protection matters, where appropriate;
- Exposure to estate disputes and contentious probate matters, depending upon experience and interest.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage both straightforward and more complex matters whilst helping to maintain the high standards of service for which the department is known.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience in wills, probate and estate administration;
- Strong client care skills and a professional, empathetic approach;
- Excellent drafting and organisational skills;
- Confidence managing files independently with minimal supervision;
- The ability to work collaboratively with solicitors, trainees and support staff;
- Sound judgement and the ability to identify and elevate technical issues where appropriate;
- A proactive approach to client relationships and business development;
- An interest in supporting the continued growth of the department.
