We're looking for an experienced Waste & Circularity Contracts Manager to drive innovative waste and resource management strategies across the UK and Ireland.

The Role
As the Waste & Circularity Contracts Manager, you'll take ownership of waste and recycling contracts, ensuring they deliver value, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you'll identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve recycling performance, and embed circular economy principles throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management
- Lead the procurement, negotiation, implementation, and ongoing management of waste and recycling contracts.
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal, environmental, and commercial requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Category Management
- Develop category strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
- Identify and implement circular economy opportunities in partnership with suppliers.
- Monitor industry developments, legislation, and market trends to support informed procurement decisions.
- Manage the end-to-end supply chain for waste and recycling services, including sourcing, logistics, and service delivery.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with waste management providers and service partners.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Resolve supplier issues and contractual disputes promptly and professionally.
- Influence stakeholders across the business to drive sustainable outcomes and operational efficiencies.
- Reporting & Performance
- Measure and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor contract and supplier performance.
- Produce regular reports and insights for senior leadership.
- Use data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements.
- Support strategic sustainability reporting through accurate analysis and performance tracking.

- Experience managing waste, recycling, environmental services, or circular economy contracts.
- Knowledge of UK and Ireland waste legislation, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations (PPWR).
- Strong commercial awareness with experience negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels.
