The Role
Working closely with senior leadership, operational teams and technical specialists, you will assess current repair and refurbishment capabilities, identify opportunities for improvement and help develop a market-leading operation. You will be responsible for introducing robust technical standards, operational processes and quality frameworks that support increased repair rates, enhanced customer outcomes and improved commercial performance. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement across repair and refurbishment activities, ensuring the business remains competitive, efficient and well-positioned for future growth and accreditation opportunities.
- Evaluate existing repair and refurbishment capabilities, identifying opportunities to improve operational performance, efficiency and value recovery.
- Develop and implement technical standards, operating procedures and quality control measures across repair activities.
- Lead repair and refurbishment developments in line with relevant industry standards, ensuring readiness for future accreditations and technical certifications.
- Advise on workshop design, layout, tooling, equipment and resource requirements to support operational excellence.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor productivity, quality, turnaround times, repair success rates and overall operational effectiveness.
- Identify and implement initiatives that increase repair rates, reduce waste and improve customer outcomes.
- Act as a subject matter expert for repair and refurbishment capability development across the organisation.
What You'll Bring
- Significant experience within repair, refurbishment, warranty services, reverse logistics or related technical service environments.
- Strong understanding of electronics repair and refurbishment processes.
- Proven experience developing, improving or scaling repair operations within a technical environment.
- Demonstrable success in establishing operational processes, technical procedures and quality standards.
- Strong commercial understanding of repair economics, value recovery and operational efficiency.
- Experience implementing performance measurement frameworks and operational KPIs.
