An HR Advisor role is set to be available at RKW Ltd on a fixed term basis from early April 2026. This will be hired to cover a period of Maternity Leave and we envisage this will be required for 9 months. As with any fixed term contract, dates and duration can be subject to change.
We are looking for a Generalist HR professional with a diverse caseload background to take on a variety of work. The successful applicant will join the existing HR department, reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with the HR Director, additional HR Advisors and Recruitment / Payroll functions.
Responsibilities and DutiesThis role plays a crucial part in providing HR support and guidance for both managers and employees. You will work as part of the HR team to ensure compliance with employment law, Company policies and industry best practice. You will also assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement, performance and overall organisational success. You are essential for maintaining a positive employee experience and ensuring all HR activities run seamlessly.
Specific areas of Responsibility- Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related queries, providing guidance, support and recommending appropriate action as required.
- Coach and mentor line managers on best practice specifically around employment law, managing their teams and enhancing productivity.
- End-to-end management of employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, welfare, performance management and absence management.
- Work with various stakeholders to support the onboarding of new starters.
- Assist in the development and revision of HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with changing laws and regulations.
- Assist in departmental projects/missions, key to the success of the department and business.
- Liaise with the payroll team to respond to pay queries.
- Update the HR system with any role changes in a timely manner.
- Support with HR Administration activities.
- Plus any other ad-hoc requests as directed by the HR Manager and HR Director.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of Employment law, regulations and best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- A customer service-orientated mindset with a focus on providing a positive employee experience.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with great attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
