We have a fantastic career opportunity to join the RKW Ltd Business Development & Account Management team, in the role of Area Sales Manager, covering the South Central region. As the Area Sales Manager in the South Central region, you will work closely with the Channel Controller, developing our independent retail customers across both Housewares and Electrical product ranges, to drive sales and maintain excellent customer relationships. This will be a remote / road‑based position with lots of existing clients to work with, so a driving licence will be essential for the role. Our South Central Region will cover retail clients based in the North of London / Northern Home Counties and across areas to the north of the M4 motorway. Ideal applicants will have previous experience in the household products market – ideally across both electrical and non‑electrical items.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Building, developing, and managing a customer portfolio, maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers and identifying new business opportunities.
- Daily site visits with the customer base within the South Central area, covering North London / Northern Home Counties / North side of the M4.
- Converting leads from customer enquiries and prospecting new opportunities.
- Presenting our products to customers and clearly articulating their value and quality.
- Collaborating with internal departments, including the internal Sales Office, Merchandising and Marketing.
- Working with Category Directors to ensure your customers are fully aware of the key features and benefits of all products and ranges so this can be communicated in sales meetings.
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of sales activities.
- Staying informed on industry trends, product updates, and competitor activities to effectively position RKW in the market and maintain a competitive edge.
- Attending industry trade shows where necessary.
- Encouraging as many showroom visits as possible.
- Forecasting stock for customers to support the business processes.
Skills and Desirables
- Circa 2+ years of proven experience as a B2B (ideally into Retail) sales representative and experience in Housewares and/or SDA – a distinct advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to connect with customers and understand their needs.
- Proficiency in using MS Office, in particular Excel.
- Strong self‑motivation and goal‑oriented mindset, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced environment.
