An established, design-focused manufacturing company is entering an exciting new phase of growth, including the launch of a new business location. We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to play a key role in supporting this next stage — bringing strong financial control, insight, and commercial awareness to the business.

This is a hands-on position with real influence, working closely with senior leadership to drive performance and support strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts in line with month-end timetables
  • Analyse performance against budget, clearly explaining variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Embed robust balance sheet and control account reconciliation processes to ensure fully supported trial balances
  • Lead budgeting and reforecasting processes aligned with strategic objectives
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Provide monthly analysis of production efficiency and stock movements
  • Prepare draft content for monthly KPI and board-level reporting
  • Manage credit control and oversee company cashflow
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting
About you
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within a UK manufacturing or design-led environment
  • Strong working knowledge of SAGE 200
  • Solid understanding of UK accounting standards, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and methodical in approach
