Job Responsibility:
Any workplace experience could be considered transferrable, but is not essential as we will work together on your training and development.
A willingness to learn, ask questions, and work with a varied workload, are required for this role.
You will work closely with both the People Manager and People Advisor to support the employees, and Department managers.
Key Accountabilities:
Recruitment & Selection:
- Agency & Staff Head liaison/circulation and advertising of vacancies
- CV Screening
- Interview organization and attendance
- Preparation of Offer of Employment Packs
- Conduct written reference & medical screening & follow up
Organise & administrate HR related meetings – including but not limited to:
- Inductions
- Welfare Sessions
- Discipline & Grievance Hearings
Process variety of HR documentation as required – including but not limited to:
- Payroll paperwork (Joining/Leaving/Status/Payroll Changes)
- Minutes of meetings
- Revised Terms & Conditions/Contracts of Employment
- Incoming reference requests/mortgage applications etc
Administration:
- Personnel file maintenance, updates of personal details, file notes
- Absence – accurate management of Weekly Attendance Data Sheet – ensuring line Manager compliance with Return to Work Interviews, & Absence Requests
- Probation Periods – follow up, administration, guidance & sign off correspondence
Additional duties:
- Preparation of various management reports & key data
- Provide HR support & guidance to Departmental Managers (Target & Objective setting, Holiday Management etc)
- Any other duties which might be reasonably required
Key role information:
- Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours Monday to Friday
- Wage: Salary £8.60 to £11.44 per hour
