Residential Support Worker – Children's Residential Care

Location: Derby Area

Salary: £29,620 – £35,320 (DOE) + sleep-ins + bonuses

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We’re working with a newly established children’s care provider to recruit Residential Support Workers for a home in the Derby area. The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes, working closely with the wider team to provide consistent and high‑quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting young people in all aspects of their daily lives and development
  • Promoting emotional wellbeing, safety and independence
  • Contributing to care planning and risk assessments
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and structured home environment
  • Acting as a positive role model and building trusting relationships
  • Ensuring all safeguarding and regulatory requirements are met
  • Working closely with colleagues, families and external professionals
  • Supporting the home to achieve strong Ofsted outcomes

You Will Have

  • A caring and empathetic approach with strong resilience

  • willingness to complete a Level 4 qualification
  • Flexibility to work shifts including sleep‑ins
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

  • Band 1 £29,620 – £30,120 basic salary
  • Performance‑related pay and Ofsted bonuses
  • Sleep‑in allowance averaging £4,200 per year
  • Total package up to £34,320
  • Band 2 £30,620 – £31,120 basic salary
  • Performance‑related pay and Ofsted bonuses
  • Sleep‑in allowance averaging £4,200 per year
  • Total package up to £35,320
