We are supporting a well-established, forward-thinking children's care provider with the recruitment of three Registered Managers to lead new and developing children's homes across the Midlands. These services support children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and form part of an expanding, values-led organisation with a strong focus on quality, safeguarding, and long-term outcomes.
The Homes
- Coventry: 3-bed home ready for Ofsted registration. Open to strong Deputy Managers stepping into their first RM role.
- Leicester: 3-bed home ready for Ofsted registration. Open to strong Deputy Managers stepping into their first RM role.
- Northampton: 4-bed home currently undergoing final building works. Requires an experienced Registered Manager.
Each role offers the opportunity to be involved from an early stage, working closely with the Regional Manager / Responsible Individual to register, launch, and embed high-quality practice.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the leadership, management, and development of the home, ensuring compliance with legislation while creating a nurturing, child-centred environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the set-up, registration, and opening of the children's home.
- Provide strong, values-driven leadership to your staff team.
- Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
- Embed robust safeguarding practices at all times.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a skilled and motivated staff team.
- Build effective relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and external professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement and prepare for Ofsted inspections.
- Create a safe, stable, and aspirational home environment for children.
About You
- Experienced Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up (Coventry & Leicester).
- Proven experience in children's residential care, supporting young people with EBD.
- Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Confident, approachable, and inspirational leadership style.
- Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
