Registered Manager – Brand New Solo Placement Children's Home (EBD)

Location: Prestwich, Manchester

Salary: £55,000 per annum + Performance Bonus

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to progress into their first Registered Manager position and lead the registration of a brand‑new solo placement children's home in Prestwich. The Role

As Registered Manager, You Will:

  • Lead the Ofsted registration of a brand‑new solo placement home
  • Build a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment for the young person in your care
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high‑performing staff team
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
  • Develop strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
  • Drive high standards of safeguarding, care planning, and quality assurance
  • Embed a child‑centred, trauma‑informed culture throughout the home
  • Work closely with the Responsible Individual and senior leadership team to achieve Outstanding outcomes

About You

We’re particularly interested in speaking with ambitious Deputy Managers who feel ready to take the next step. You’ll Ideally Have:

  • Experience as a Deputy Manager or senior leader within a children’s residential home
  • A genuine desire to progress into Registered Management
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements
  • Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare, or be working towards it
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • A passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people
