Senior Registered Manager in Penzance

Are you an experienced care leader who can combine strong operational management with a genuine commitment to outstanding, person-centred care?We are recruiting on behalf of an established care provider seeking a confident and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of one of its care homes.You will lead a dedicated team, maintain excellent care standards and ensure every resident is supported to live safely, comfortably and as independently as possible.Salary and Benefits £61,000£65,000 per annumSupportive senior leadership teamOn-site parkingEmployee benefits and perks packageFree meals while on dutyAutonomy to shape and develop the homeOngoing professional developmentThe Role As Registered Manager, you will be accountable to the Registered Provider for the homes overall performance, operations and activities.Leading the day-to-day running of the home through effective teamwork and delegationCreating a positive culture that provides both support and appropriate challenge to the teamEnsuring residents individual needs, preferences, backgrounds and differences remain at the heart of the serviceMaintaining full compliance with the homes registration conditions, legal requirements and company policiesPromoting excellent care standards and continually improving resident outcomesActing as the homes Infection Prevention and Control LeadMaintaining effective systems, processes and structures to support the safe and efficient running of the homeSafeguarding residents and ensuring their care and health needs are appropriately assessed and metLeading, supervising, mentoring and developing staff to help them perform confidently and effectivelyCompleting staff appraisals and supporting ongoing learning and professional developmentReviewing practices within the home and implementing agreed improvementsAnalysing complex care situations and producing appropriate action plans and risk assessmentsMaintaining high standards across the homes environment, documentation and service deliveryManaging the home within agreed budgets, key performance indicators and occupancy targetsPromoting the homes services and building positive relationships with professionals and the wider communityProviding clinical leadership and direct support when requiredSharing and promoting best practice across the wider organisationAbout You Our client is looking for someone who is approachable, commercially aware and able to lead with both compassion and accountability.Previous management experience within a care environmentStrong leadership and people-management skillsA sound understanding of care regulation, safeguarding, quality assurance and health and safetyThe ability to manage competing priorities and make confident, well-informed decisionsEvidence of continued professional developmentExcellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skillsA commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred careA professional, honest and respectful approachThe following would be desirable:NMC registrationA recognised care management qualification, such as ILM, RMA or an equivalent qualificationThe successful candidate will also be expected to complete all required mandatory training, take responsibility for their continued professional development and comply with relevant legislation, regulations and organisational policies.If you are an experienced care manager looking for the opportunity to lead and develop a home where residents, quality and staff development genuinely matter, we would love to hear from you.
