We are supporting a specialist children’s residential provider who are now recruiting Qualified Residential Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to join their growing services. These small EBD homes offer stable, therapeutic environments where staff are supported, valued and developed. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced, qualified staff looking for progression, stability and a well-structured career pathway.

Salary & Benefits

  • Residential Support Worker: £26,436 + sleep-ins (up to £6,000)
  • Senior Support Worker: £30,000 + sleep-ins (up to £6,000)
  • Overtime at £2.50 extra per hour after 160 hours per month
  • Progression opportunities with clear pay bands

You will work directly with children and young people in a nurturing, consistent and trauma-informed environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality care, support and guidance
  • Supporting emotional and behavioural needs
  • Safeguarding and promoting wellbeing at all times
  • Working closely with the management team to deliver consistent practice
  • Completing reports, logs and key documentation
  • Participating in a structured shift pattern: 8am–11pm, 1 day on / 2 days off
  • Completing sleep-ins (£50 per night)

Senior Support Workers will additionally support leadership tasks, shift-leading and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence – essential (Candidates must be confident driving in all conditions, including motorway and night driving.)
  • Must hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, whistleblowing, supervisions and professional boundaries
  • Experience supporting children or young people with emotional and behavioural needs
  • Sponsorship is not available — candidates must already have the right to work in the UK
