Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with a fellow support worker to ensure the safety, well-being, and individual needs of the service user are consistently met.
- Actively contribute to and implement detailed care plans that address the service user's mental health challenges, behaviours that challenge, and personal aspirations.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and strategies as outlined in the care plan to support the service user effectively.
- Proactively manage and respond to challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support, risk assessments, and agreed interventions, maintaining a calm and consistent approach.
What You'll Bring:
- Ideally, previous experience in a similar mental health setting, though all relevant care experience will be considered.
- A driver's license is preferred but not essential if you can reliably commute to Callington for your shifts.
- Availability to work every other weekend.
- A friendly, trustworthy, and genuinely caring personality.
- The ability to work 12-hour shifts.
