We are recruiting for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Harrow, Middlesex. This is an excellent opportunity to join a provider committed to delivering high-quality, child-centred care within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The home supports children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), with a strong emphasis on creating a safe, stable, and nurturing setting where young people can thrive and reach their full potential.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance are consistently met. You'll lead and develop your team, embed a positive culture, and drive the service towards achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall management and operation of the home
  • Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
  • Create a warm, nurturing and structured environment for young people
  • Recruit, develop and manage a high-performing staff team
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments and outcomes for children
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure audit readiness at all times
  • Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
  • Drive continuous improvement across the service

About You

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager (or experienced Deputy ready to step up)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding practices
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality care and improving outcomes
  • Resilient, organised, and values-driven
  • Full UK driving licence
