We’re partnering with a new, forward-thinking children\’s home provider to recruit a Deputy Manager for their brand-new 4-bed solo children’s home supporting young people with EBD and learning disabilities in Oxford. What’s on Offer: * £33,000 – £40,000 base salary * Additional £3,000–£5,000+ in sleep-in payments * 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays * Private medical cover * Real Living Wage employer with performance-based bonus scheme * Fully funded qualifications & paid training * Supportive leadership from an experienced RM and forward-thinking Directors * Genuine career progression to Registered Manager roles Key Responsibilities: * Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home * Lead and inspire staff to deliver consistent, trauma-informed care * Act as a safeguarding lead and uphold a strong safeguarding culture * Oversee rota planning, budgeting, team supervision and environment safety * Step up to manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager Key Requirements: * 3+ years’ experience in a children’s residential care setting * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) * Working towards or willing to work towards Level 5 in Leadership & Management * Experience supervising staff and managing rotas/budgets * A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding * Full UK driving licence * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) Desirable: * Experience with multi-agency collaboration and safeguarding enquiries * Relevant qualifications in psychology, social care, or childhood studies * Confident leading team meetings and training sessions This home is the flagship service of a high-integrity provider driven by values of belonging, aspiration, bravery and resilience.
